Box 113 (Board and Personal Files), 1939-1973
Box contains administrative and personal files for rabbis including high holy days, board appointments and resignations, by-laws, member resignations, rabbi and assistant rabbi files, and a 1946 petition from the congregation regarding conservativism and political Zionism.
Hillkowitz Family, 1947-2016
Rabbi Hillkowitz emigrated to Cincinnati from Lithuania to be a rabbi and tutor, moving to Denver around 1892. His son, Dr. Philip Hilkowitz, was a noted Denver pathologist, active in various medical societies. He joined Dr. Spivak as a founder of the Jewish Consumptives' Relief Society and served as its president. His father, Rabbi Hillkowitz, suggested the Talmudic motto of the JCRS.
Rabbi Laderman Illnesses, 1953, 1977
Contains correspondence from the HEA and Alliance Sisterhood about contributions and correspondence from Denver Symphony Society (1953). Also contains correspondence from HEA after the Rabbi's cataract surgery in 1977.
Rabbi Manuel Laderman, 1932-1991
Contains a congratulatory letter for the choice of Rabbi Laderman from The Hebrew Theological College to the Hebrew Educational Alliance, copies of "A Love-Letter to My Congregation," a letter to Arnold H. Cook (President of HEA) and a letter from Rabbi Manuel Laderman to Alliance members announcing his retirement, and a flyer announcing a program announcing the posthumous publication of "Letters of Faith."
